Difference Between Standard and High Yield Cartridges

Toner cartridges and Ink Cartridges come in different sizes. Standard Cartridges and High Yield Cartridges. A standard cartridge is more common than a high-yield. The yield is the number of pages that a printer can print. The price is also a difference as high-yield is more expensive than the norm as it contains more toner or ink inside the cartridge.

So, is it worth purchasing a High-Yield Cartridge over a Standard Cartridge?

If you do not use a printer very often, a standard size would be the ideal and cheaper alternative. In contrast, if you do print very often and see yourself purchasing toner or ink very regularly, a high-yield would be the more cost-efficient and time-saving alternative in the long term. It all depends on the amount of printing carried out.

For instance in an HP LaserJet P2035, a standard cartridge prints up to 2300 pages whereas for the same printer, high-yield cartridge prints up to 6500 pages. There is a significant difference in pages printed between the two, which would also reflect on the prices.

If you would like to purchase any type of toner cartridges, Blueprint Toners offers OEM products and Premium Compatible products for many printers and major brands.
